Mexico reports two bodies near Texas fence raises migrant safety concerns.

Two bodies have been found in and around a “floating barrier” installed by the U.S. state of Texas in a river on the border with Mexico’s Coahuila state.

On March 3 local time, Mexican daily newspaper Millenio reported that the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) discovered one body hanging from a floating barrier buoy in the Rio Bravo (Rio Grande River – U.S. name) at 2:35 p.m. the previous day and notified its Mexican counterpart.

A few hours later, another body was seen upstream in the river about five kilometers from the buoy, the outlet said.

The cause of death and nationality of both deaths have not yet been confirmed.

In a separate document, Mexico’s foreign ministry warned that the state of Texas’ policy “expresses concern that it will affect the human rights and security of migrants,” 먹튀검증 a situation that runs counter to the close cooperation between the two countries.

Mexican authorities have stated that they plan to thoroughly verify the incident through the Mexican consulate in Eagle Pass and request the U.S. government to conduct a proper investigation.
