Professional basketball star Heo Woong (31, Busan KCC) has filed a police complaint against his ex-girlfriend, alleging that he was blackmailed by her for money under the guise of her private life.
Heo’s legal representative filed the complaint with the Gangnam Police Station in Seoul on Nov. 26. The complaint accuses his ex-girlfriend of attempted extortion, blackmail, and violating the Stalking Penalties Act. He explained that she had been threatening to expose Heo’s personal life 스포츠토토존 since late May 2021 and demanded 300 million won.
Heo Woong also responded. “I’m so sorry for the upset I caused my fans with this news, and I’m even more sorry because I know how surprised they must have been,” he wrote on social media.
“I have been subjected to constant money demands and threats for three years since my ex-girlfriend and I broke up. I’ve suffered for a long time and I can’t take it anymore, so I’ve made this decision to hold them legally accountable,” he continued, “I plan to fully cooperate with the police investigation to ensure that the perpetrators are punished through the judicial process.”
