Hanwha’s Ha Joo-seok dismissed from first team for critical error that cost the team the game

Hanwha Eagles infielder Ha Joo-seok has been dropped from the first team roster after making a critical error that cost the team the game.

Hanwha demoted Ha to the second team and designated outfielder Kwon Kwang-min for assignment ahead of their upcoming game against the Samsung Lions at Hanwha Life Eagles Park in Daejeon on Wednesday.

The previous day, Ha fumbled an infield grounder by Ryu Ji-hyuk in the bottom of the ninth inning with Daejeon Samsung leading 2-1.

The error put runners on second and third with the potential to end the game, and Hanwha gave up four runs in the inning to fall to 3-5.

Ha has fallen into a severe slump this season, batting just .114 in 25 games, and has lost the trust of the bench on defense.

KIA Tigers left-handed pitcher Lee Yi-ri, who voluntarily left the game the previous day with shoulder pain, was also removed from the first team.

Lee was diagnosed with simple inflammation after a medical examination, so his absence is not expected to be prolonged.

KIA signed infielder Oh Sun-woo for the first time this season to fill the first-team vacancy created by Lee’s expungement.

The Kiwoom Heroes demoted infielder Kim Woong-bin and pitcher Kim Sung-jin and promoted outfielder Park Joo-hong to the first team.

The KT Wiz added pitcher Ko Young-pyo to the first team after taking ten days off, while the LG Twins demoted pitcher Lee Woo-chan to make room for pitcher Jung Woo-young.

The NC Dinos promoted pitcher Lee Jae-hak and catcher Kim Hyung-joon to the first team, 먹튀검증 and designated pitcher Kim Si-hoon and infielder Kim Soo-yoon for assignment.
