China national soccer team forward Fei Nandu (31-Shandong Taishan) has vowed to lead the way against South Korea.
China will take on South Korea on June 11 at 8 p.m. at Seoul World Cup Stadium in the sixth match of Group C of the Asia-Pacific second qualifying round for the 2026 North and Central American World Cup at Seoul World Cup Stadium.
“Korea is a strong team with multiple World Cup appearances, but we are focused on tomorrow’s game,” said Feinandu. 스포츠토토존 “We will do our best to play well in Korea. We hope to bring home a result.”
China has two wins, two draws and one loss (8 points) in five matches in the second round of qualifying. China is second in the group behind South Korea, three points ahead of third-place Thailand.
China needs at least a draw against South Korea to qualify for the third round on their own.
If they lose, they will have to wait for the match between Thailand and Singapore. China has a three-point goal difference lead over Thailand. Thailand will play the bottom of Group C, Singapore, in the final match. Singapore is an underdog, having conceded 21 goals in five games in the second round of qualifying.
China is not at its best either. Top star Wu Lei will not play against South Korea due to injury.
“China has a lot of young players,” said Feinandu, “I’m a young player myself in the Chinese national team.” “I don’t know what advice I can give to the younger players. I will lead the team to get the best results possible. And if there’s anything I can do to help them grow, I’ll do it.”
Feinandu is a Brazilian striker who grew up and made his professional debut for the prestigious CR Flamengo. He played for Madureia EC (Brazil) and GD Estoril Praia (Portugal) before joining the Chinese Super League.
He started his career in 2015 with Chongqing Lifan, followed by Guangzhou Hengda Taobao and Hebei FC. He has been playing for Shandong Taishan since the 2023 season.
Feinandu made his debut for the Chinese national team on March 21, 2024, away to Singapore. On March 26 of the same month, he scored his A-match debut goal in a home match against Singapore. He can play as a flanker or a striker and is known for his quick feet and decisiveness.
